Welcome and Mabuhay!
Mabuhay is a Filipino word and it means Hurrah, Viva, Cheers or Welcome! This expression is mostly used to welcome international guests.
As a Filipina, it was a big change to live in another country. I remember my first arrival here in Germany, as we drove to my cousin's house, it was so quiet and still. I saw one or two people on the street and ask myself, ha??? Where are the people here? Are they still sleeping or what? Not only that, there were so many things which were new to me. Flexibility and the will to learn is the key. Cleanliness and hygiene is a big issue in the Philippines - in Germany it is a must, everywhere is in place and the people see to it that their own place and surrounding is clean.
I hope some topics interests you. I am not an expert about gardening, I can only show you the flowers that grows in my garden and how I take good care of them. Germany has beautiful landscapes and the people here manages to make this land a better place to live in and it inspires me to make my home as beautiful as I can.
Cooking is one of my passion, I try varieties of ingredients to achieve different tastes which turns out to be a great recipe and sometimes a disaster, as no one is perfect! -:)
I also learned that being a mom is not a very easy job. Maybe we share the same experiences and perhaps we can discuss it here...
Oh and last but not the least, constructive suggestions, comments are very much welcome. Sarcastic and abusive words will be deleted. Thank you.
